Vibes for DR ELMORE.

Yes I always carry peppermints.

I used to until I got GERD.

Around 3:00, when I went to feed the cats, my blood sugar dropped. It was terrifying. I thought I was going to collapse on the kitchen floor. I opened the refrigerator, grabbed a Reese cup, and devoured it. I;m feeling back to normal now. The last time this happened was about four years ago at the bus stop at 57th Street and Eighth Avenue as I waited for the bus. A kind lady gave me a peppermiont candy. After that I always carried a bag of peppermint candy in my travel bag.

Sorry to hear this, but glad you knew what to do and could handle it yourself. Vibes for no reccurrances.

I received an email this morning from Amazon saying that you could order a Thanksgiving dinner with a 2-hour delivery. It's the first I've heard of it, but I think it's a great idea. I'm hoping the pandemic has boosted take-out and delivery options.

The dinner was better last year. It should have been all white meat ad it was not, and the brussels sprouts were much overcooked., Last year it was so good I raved about it for eleven months.

Finishing up Michael Connelly's latest, The Dark Hours. The crux of the mystery is interesting, but it doesn't really get going until about 70% into it. And there is one compelling scene involving an emergency tracheotomy. Plus, I enjoyed something set in December 2020 and January 2021, with full pandemic and storming of the Capitol. But sadly, 70% of the book is too perfunctory, too half-hearted, too lazy.

The mushrooms are chopped. Shallots are chopped. I need to get a few more ingredients together and I can start the tart. I may get the salad together first.

I began reading it and had to stop and begin a couple of other books.  I am sorry it isn't has good as usual.   I have enjoyed the other Bosch/Ballard books.

Denny's turkey dinner was - awful. Not one good thing about it, although I did eat the turkey. Blechhh, is about the best I can say. My equilibrium has been wacky for two days now - have no idea why but enough is enough.

Thanksgiving evening greetings!  My inner Cherry Ames was joined today by my inner Martha Stewart as we hosted a holiday feast with my sister and her husband and Richard’s brother and his wife.  Richard and I are both beyond tired, but we have a fridge full of fabulous leftovers.

They will be a nice break from cooking, hopefully for the next few days.

An hour into Just a Gigolo and the apparently ageless Marlene Dietrich shows up. She's behind a veil and the lens is designed to make her look even younger. It's not entirely successful, but she may be the best thing about this really strange movie.

Well, the damage is all on the top of his foot, so that helps.  Right now he says it itches.

I hate itching.  In this case I hope it means the burn is healing.

That’s what I’m hoping, too, DR Jane.

I'm really nauseous from the Denny's debacle. Hopefully, that will subside and sooner than later - I'm popping the Pepcids regularly.

Watching a motion picture - halfway through, and then I'll probably do another Ghibli film, perhaps Howl's Moving Castle, which I've only seen the one time when it came out.

Everyone came. I gave away most of the leftovers. I really need to concentrate on losing a few pounds. The turkey bones are boiling away to make stock, and I expect I'll eat a lot of soup for the next week.

Because of the pandemic, she has hardly had a chance to see him the last year and a half.
