We had a shooting today at the Tacoma Mall.

Oh, my goodness!

Two days ago, we had two people shot outside the JC Penney store at the South Center Mall.

That Mall is near the Sea-Tac Airport in Tukwila.

Ironically, I once managed shoe stores in those two malls.

[TCB]

In those days, we didn’t have people shot in the malls.

[TCB]

However, we did have shoe store managers who got their jaws broken for not giving a customer a refund.

[TCB]

I have my original vaccination record card, so that can be updated, copied and laminated.

They say you shouldn’t get your vac record laminated.

Yup...the copy is then laminated, not the original.

I went to Costco today to see if they were giving walk-up booster shots and they weren't.  You need to schedule an appointment.  The earliest was December 6.

My sister's boyfriend said that someone he knows said that Safeway might still be allowing walk-up for booster shots.  I'll have to check that out.

It is a very sad day for theater and music and lovers of both.

I very much loved Bruce's post on Facebook. 

I had a decent Thanksgiving even though it followed by one week the death of my Aunt Doris.   For the past three years, since my mother's death, I have been helping my aunt by taking her to her doctor's appointments and shopping for her when I shop for myself.  Others have been helping, too.  She has a daughter -- my cousin Debra -- who lives 12 miles away.  I am across the street. She has two sons who also supported her and my uncle.

It was my aunt's family with whom I took Thanksgiving dinner, and it was as festive as it had any right to be.  My uncle was brought over.  He is rather frail, cannot drive or get around without assistance.  He does not want to live anywhere but in his house, so the family is relying on 24/7 help in three daily shifts.   This has only been going on since Tuesday, and there have been a couple of glitches, but we shall see what we shall see.

All of that said, I miss my aunt.  She had turned 90 in October.   But she has been ready to go for several years and has said has much.  She kept daily journals which were found and read during the days between her death and her memorial service.  She has made it clear she wants no sadness because she believes she needed to move on.

Sorry to be such a downer here at the end of a day, but as it's a sad ending to the day with the news of Sondheim, I think you will probably forgive me for it.

Very lovely, Ron.  My condolences on the passing of your aunt.

I first heard Sondheim’s work in WEST SIDE STORY.  I loved the music and the lyrics, but in my mine it was all Leonard Bernstein.  I was probably eight or nine.

My world changed when I heard COMPANY.  I couldn’t get over that show.  I still laugh to remember I turned down the role of Bobby, because I wanted to do SWEET CHARITY.😝
