I will await DR Ron Pulliam's report on his morning bun.

I swear, maybe it's age, but "morning bun" reads to me like a possible double entendre.

So, is it still acceptable for Hanukkah if you use an air fryer?

It wasn't intended that way, but it certainly could be, DR Freddie.        ;D

Good question, DR John G.  I would love a latke!  No potatoes in the house presently, alas.

It really wasn't that long ago [that was holiday season 2019, three months before covid] where just getting on a plane, at least on a 2-1/2 hour flight on the East coast, to see someone in a show was just an easy and pretty inexpensive part of life.

And tomorrow.

And Wednesday.

And Thursday, until our piano brush-up that evening.

I never acquired the lips, but the fez lives on in this corner.

Jrand - Thanks for that - so that's you at 22, so a wide range of ages among siblings.  It feels like that's turned out to be a beautiful thing in your family.

Ron - Not to be graphic, which means I'm about to be graphic -

But don't you find having coffee without any solid food on an empty stomach kind of makes your poop all splashy?

(That was a way of avoiding saying diarrhea, but I guess no reason not to just say it.)

Actually, my wake-up time has normally been 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.   I suppose you could say I eat a late breakfast at the lunch hour.  I have coffee but don't want to spoil lunch which is usually an hour or two away.

Lately, however....the past week actually...I have been waking up by 6:30 a.m.  I don't know why.  So, I have been eating a couple of slices of toast or a bagel.

It works well enough.

As for that delicate "condition" to which you alluded -- the Hershey squirts, as it were -- I haven't experienced it as an after-effect of no breakfast.   Not yet.

Hopefully never.

I was surprised reading in John Archibald's bio how MANY plays he'd been in, and he just as it happened had never before this been offered an Equity job in a musical [before he had turned to a career in being a home medical helper].  The combining of the roles had a nice effect that at the curtain call, we never had that "should we boo the villain" moment for the mean boss (or is the boss just wacko?), since John took his bow as Santa.

He seemed to really enjoy posing for pictures with kids - and some adults who asked - as Santa after the show.

One of the show's costuming secrets was that he kept his mean boss outfit on under the Santa suit, and it became part of the padding since John is not really heavy at all. One quick change looks like it had to be a trick, but he said they're all geared up for that change. (the day I saw it, though, they forgot to hand him a prop really needed for his scene as Santa - but of course they got it to him, or the scene wouldn't have gone on :) )

The John Archibald of your acquaintance must be a different John Archibald of my acquaintance.  My John Archibald does live in Florida...St. Petersburg, I believe.  He moved there from San Diego a few years ago.  He is, and has been most of his life, involved in theater...but on a community level I think.

Ron that is funny about cats and cucumbers.  Of all the cats I have had, I can't recall any having an issue with a single food.  I do like cucumbers and am sure the cats saw them :)

I can assure everyone that I have seen nothing new since yesterday...other than the ice cream bar I hungered for when I woke up 10 minutes ago.

And now, sated, I shall return to dreamland.

That is ok, we are just delighted to have you posting again :)

I’ve made latkes with any veg you can shred: radishes, beets, zucchini.
