We have a tempest in our 202 West 82 teapot. Late this morning a letter was slipped under my door. It was a list of infractions by our super Jeff and suggestions we all pull together for a rent strike until he's ousted and the building gets serious improvements made to it. There is some truth to some of the charges, but the form letter, which I suspect was slipped under every door, was unsigned. But there is an email address to join this rebellion, and it's the psycho on the fifth floor who made life miserable for tenants in 5E and 5F, and generally stirs up shit when he's sober. Then my neurotic neighbor Judy called me to ask if I'd read the letter and to tell me all my neighbors on the third floor were not giving Jeff a Christmas bonus. Would I give him a bonus? I told her it was none of her business.

I need to know where today has gone. I was up at 6:30 a.m. Had toast and some coffee. May have napped a bit. Got my mail (a catalog that went into the recycle bin), at a smoked turkey sammich. May have napped a bit more.

And now it's 5:21 p.m. (i am on east coast).

Time continues to slip away. Everything I thought I might get to today wasn't gotten to.

Picked up packages, the lesser of the important envelopes (hopefully the more important one will come tomorrow) and had a Subway pastrami for food. It wasn't as good as Togo's but many less calories due to much less meat - I don't even think it was two ounces, frankly.

I really don't get why when you get a new back-up drive, which I had to do for the licensing folks for Nudie and Creature, why they don't work out of the box - you have to format them, only it doesn't say anything about that or have instructions. I had to search it on Google, which led me to a YouTube video - from there it was easy, but why? So, just waiting on the Creature stuff, which will hopefully be here by the end of the week and then this will get Fed Exed to them.

While I was watching something, my computer decided to restart - saying it do so because of a "problem" but not identifying the problem. Certainly, I see no signs of a power issue, since everything else is working fine. So, everything had to load again, including the documents I was working on - all "saved" thankfully. Irritating.
