Richard’s fourth burn clinic visit was very encouraging.  Slight change in treatment to stimulate healing and we return a week from today.  Then we get 2 weeks off until January 5

Very good news, Ginny!

Last rehearsal of the bells before Christmas Eve was good, after we practiced. I hope we can remember that. No more rehearsals for 9 days.

Checked out another collection of Christmas stories from the library. It has an O. Henry story I'm not familiar with: The Gift of the Magic.

Yes, we sometimes get days-late messages and voicemails through Verizon.

Even though we both have t-Mobile, sometimes text messages don't go to Keith right away even though I am receiving them (multiple person conversations)

On our way home we stopped at one of our favorite delis for lunch, then went across the street to Graeter’s for ice cream.  To add to yesterday’s conversation about ice cream prices, 2 single-scoop dishes were $10 - and worth every penny.

Yum.  We passed on ice cream today.  I figured out the pricey scoops are probably equal to a double scoop.  I hope your singles were large.

Love me some Graeter’s.
I have never had it.

The mai tai was better tonight.  I am guessing that is because there was twice as much rum in my drink tonight

So, you will have to prove you've received a booster shot in order to get into the Metropolitan Opera. Good for them.

It was like that everywhere Palm Springs.

Picked up errant and truant screeners, so that's good - had a chicken Caesar salad for food, so that's good. Did a little writing, so that's good. Trying my damndest to watch the new Dune - can't say that's good. So much exposition, so much mumbling, so many characters - I had the same issue with the older version, which I hated, and I'm sure I wouldn't like the book either.

Add me to the list of "Oh, NO!"s when we read DR Laura's roof news.

Vibes they figure out the problem and FIX IT PROPERLY!

The handyman was here the other day, fixing my roof (and other things). We had a lot of rain yesterday and so far so good.

A lot of sound and fury in this Macbeth, and I'm not sure it signified anything. But Sher was worth watching. YouTube has a full production of The Winter's Tale with him. I love that play, so I may watch it, if I ever get three hours.

Hi, John G.
Yes, this particular leak has been off and on for the entire ten years I've lived here and there was a bad patch on the kitchen ceiling when I moved in to document its history. The handyman did this fix, rather than a roofer, and the handyman is very good. He commented that the roof is very old. I have difficulty understanding the management's complacency.

John G, your balmy dinner last night sounded delightful. I pulled out my boots, wool socks, and one of my winter coats! A low of 39 degrees here last night.
