We had a fight in the theater tonight. Saw the police escort someone out with his hands tied over his head.
Had an amazingly wonderful lunch with Richard Sherman and his daughter Vicki. Barone's was the jernt. We were there almost two hours. Almost two years without seeing this man was really dopey and Vicki took the bull by the horns because Richard had wanted it to happen. I brought him the last two books because he hadn't gotten those and then the Tonight's the Night Blu-ray because he hadn't seen that. We're going to make sure we do this regularly now and that makes me very happy.
Here we are - happy friends - thinking about writing another song together.
We have a nice view of the Umpqua River river from our hotel room.

My longtime friend, actress Bridget Hanley, has died. :-(
I had positive news about the recording project this morning, and after a telephone chat with Jack Viertel, we added a fourth show to the proposal.

They're using the reduced orchestration for ten players. It's a departure for this college because they always use full orchestrations and hire accordingly. This is for Covid.DR Elmore: Do you know when the reduced score was created? These books are still handwritten, and only the original version of the show is available, not the revivals. MTI doesn't show a piano/celeste book for the standard orchestration. Is that correct, or an omission?Questions, questions. If you don't mind, I'll scan and email a couple of pages so you can see how familiar this book looks to you.We turned in the new edition three years agfo - maybe four - and MTI has done nothing with it. As to your inquiry, I rememebr absolutely nothing about my work on the score. I didn't even know there was a 10-piece reduction!Amazing, that they've just sat on it.Which sounds ungracious. If it were only because of Covid...But everybody and his brother can, and does, use that as an excuse. And it does seems like a long time ago because I vaguely remember you showing me a piece of that on a visit way back when. I lost an MTI job today because Covid has canceled so many shows there's not enough revenue coming in to make the work financially necessary at hte moment.

Please, universe...Once we finish the budgets, we'll make a proposal for the four showsd, three to be recorded in Dublin, hopefully, and one in Manhattan. I cannot state the titles until we know the project is on or off. If on, we still need to get the rights for two of the shows. The other two are Public Domain.

I really don't know if these rape allegations about Chris Not are true, but a violinist I worked with in the 1990s told me that she often saw him in the coffee shop of the first floor of her apartment building, and he was very abusive to his girlfriend.
