:o  It is very good they had to close before you drove over there.

I actually did drive over there (I think on Saturday), but it looked like the place was being cleaned at the time (and I had no idea what was in store), so I didn't even go in to try to get the gift certificate.
Guess I worded that wrong.  I meant it was good you didn't drive over soon, like the day before they closed for cleaning ;)

I had actually decided to get it more than week before that, but I just kept procrastinating.

I almost used the P word and decided to be nice ;) ;D

Finally, something good came from procrastinating! ;D

Sometimes that happens which is why us procrastinators continue to procrastinate ;)

Watching a lousy copy of Beat the Devil from the library. I love this mess of a movie. I can just imagine how mystified audiences were back then.

It has a great cast.  It has been a long time since I watched it and I don't recall much of the story.

That's probably all for the best. Just forget it and rediscover it from scratch.

I'm now watching one of my noir picks, the Christmas-themed Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang.

It's supposed to start raining in the middle of the night and continue until tomorrow afternoon.

I ate scrambled eggs with green beans for dinner.

Continued vibes for rain, and NO water flowing to the house from the roof, or anywhere.

Well, perhaps it's more traditional for December 24th.

As Bill Sampson might have said to Miss Harrington on a night like this:

"It's Christmas Eve Eve, Eve!  Have a Martini!"

I met my cousin Debra at the local cemetery this afternoon so she could show me where my Aunt Doris' grave is.  There isn't a plaque on it yet, but there is a small marker.  I placed a pot of poinsettias on it.

It's to Debra's I go tomorrow afternoon for the Christmas Eve Streak Grilling.  Additionally, she is going to my Uncle Rock's house (across the street from me) on Christmas Day and several other relatives are expected to drop in.  There will be amuse bouches and chili.  I shall take some torilla chips and dip.

Who IS this "one guest" who always seems to be here?
