It has been raining for several hours, and I don't hear any tapping on the tarp.

I am super relieved for you.

This is a soft gentle winter rain; I am concerned about the wild windy summer storms that will come in several months.

Vibes the roof repair continues to work!

The things you find...

Last night I was digging through a box of miscellaneous papers that I need to file and/or throw away, and out came a peso (a paper bill) from the Dominican Republic. Hot off the press. Unused. Un peso. Uno. One. No idea why I have it, and no memory of it. It must have come with something in the mail - like when Nielsen sends you a crisp new dollar bill to take part in a survey. Who the hell knows.

I just checked. Today's value:  eighteen cents.

LOL, great story.

Christmas Eve greetings from Charlotte’s house!  Our responsibility is to keep her occupied while her parents bake and wrap.  It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it.

I feel so bad, such a horrible job ;)

When we opened our door this morning to leave for the gym we found out upstairs neighbor, with our upstairs dog, leaving gifts on our bench.

We talked for awhile and played with the dog.  As usual I had treats in my pocket for him.

I got a bit cold in my shorts, t-shirt, and just a hoodie but it was worth it.

DR George I think the hummingbird windchime is a nicer gift than the giftcard.

Maybe...but my mom really liked that buffet restaurant. ;D

Once it reopens it should be very clean.  You can dine together ;)

And now, I must shower, get dressed and hie myself to my sister's so that we can go to mom's together.

Until later!

Two people have canceled for tonight - too scared to be around people. Almost two years into this thing and we're back at square one in terms of everyone's panic - so, we all got triple vaccinated and it doesn't seem to matter. Most who get this variant don't even know they have it. I hope the numbers abate, as some think they will, quickly.

My book guy fixed everything, I did a test on Kindle Direct and it worked perfectly. I sent it to the author with the directive NOT to upload it until we're on the phone together. He ignored that directive last time - hopefully he won't this time because there are a few things you need to do before uploading a PDF. I also had to adjust a few things because this insane author added yet another thank you - there are literally almost 100 PAGES of thank you to everyone he's ever met. I recommended he delete every one of them, but I think it's the reason he wrote the book. I also think he read Benjamin Kritzer because the the chapter titles are so like that book and I haven't really seen that in other books. In fact, I think it's his version of that book, his story, using the layout of the Kritzer books. It's just too close.

The dinner from Ann and Jen arrived around 4:30. It was huge with lots of turkey breast, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and veggies. Annabelle and Stella went berserk for a taste. I have enough left over for tomorrow's dinner.

I am sorry and hope you don't have more cancellations.  I do understand.  It isn't always concern over catching this as it is about giving it to someone else who is vulnerable and/or unvaccinated.

This new variant is scary. I really don't want to go out any more. Things changed in just a couple of weeks. They say it's not as common in Arizona at this time so far, but that will change soon, I guess.

You have great neighbors, Elmore.

I have great neighbors, too. But they don't bring me food.
