IS SATIRE DEAD?

Well, you've read the notes, the notes pondered satire, and now it is time for you to post until the satirical cows come home.

I was awake at 5:15 after a poor night of sleep. I would like to finish up my taxes early in the day, and I'm almost there. I think all I have left are the tallies for books, music, CDs and DVDs.

Luckily, nothing fraught happened yesterday, and I closed shop around 7:30. I wanted to watch the SOTU address, but I was unconscious by 8:30.

Yes, it seems the words are getting a bit more NYTimesCrosswordish rather than the way they were before.

Maybe, however, that's just a perception rather than a fact.

In an hour or so, I shall be at the chiropractor's office.  Had a few unsettling tweaks of PAIN this morning as I arose from my slumber.

I feel so helpless when I cannot do simple things without wincing.

My first reaction to people such as those MR BK wrote about in the notes is to roll my eyes and say "get real".....although I never do.

His reaction was most excellent and I will remember it.....but I doubt I will follow his example.

My mom doesn’t drink. But she’ll partake in whatever they give her at her assisted living facility. Yesterday they gave her a hurricane to drink. She liked it. Said she slept well.

The ones decrying "cancel culture" in our society are the first ones to try to ban anything that they don't agree with. It's an intractable problem, and I don't have any answers.

Today I feel like I've got much to do, and not enough time to do it in.

In other words, I'm feeling back to normal following a couple of days that felt "free and relaxing", ho ho ho.

I've never done the NY Times crossword puzzle. But I've found some wordles lately have not been words that are really used in US/Canada. They seemed very British to me.

A few days ago I started doing canuckle, which is Canadian wordle. The last one I did had 2 meanings. And I honestly could not figure out how the main meaning was Canadian.
