The Olivier Award nominations are out. Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest, Cinderella, did not get nominated for best musical.

Jessie Buckley got nominated for Cabaret. I'd like to see her in that.

She's up against Sutton Foster in Anything Goes, a performance I really didn't care for.

Andrew Lloyd Webber did not get nominated in the category for best original score or new orchestrations. But Rob Fisher did.

As I was driving to Costco tonight, I saw that gas had gone up to $3.99 a gallon. At Costco, the price was $3.54. I had to wait 20 minutes or more, but I listened to The Man of Law's Tale.

The Washington Post finally wrote Tony Walton’s obit. It’s good, but the writer thinks Ken Russell directed a movie called The Girlfriend.

Interesting.  I would've thought that the show would be nominated for best show but not best score...even though I do like the score.

I was also going to say THE SIXTH SENSE.  However I changed my mind.

I did a one-man show a few years ago titled WRECKS by Neil LaBute.  I think that would be my first choice, and I think that even George might agree.

Topic of the Day Addendum:  I made a DVD of the PBS showing of the Broadway revival of She Loves Me, and that kind of has a twist in it.  I'd add that to my list of the twist. ;)
