Yes DR CHAS SMITH the mashed potatoes go righ on top of the bread.

I explained the dish to my mother who immediately proclaimed that such a heathen dish would never be prepared in her kitchen. Potatoes on bread was an abomination.

Does anyone here remember all the fuss that was made over the possibility that computers wouldn't work once the year 2000 arrived?

It was called Y2K...and businesses, especially, freaked out over it.

Hard to believe that was more than 22 years ago!

I am quite pleased at how I'm doing today. No pain at all from yesterday's outpatient surgery, but I am VERY tired. When I've had these things in the past I allowed 4 days of recuperation -- and needed every bit of it. This time is easier.

Yes, I always have lots of preparation to do before I go into couch potato mode. I stocked up on food that I can heat up easily, but I want something different today--at least for lunch, so I've ordered from GrubHub.

Even though it's an hour later than it ought to be, theoretically, the day sure passes by quickly.

That said, the U.S. Senate passed a bill today that would make daylight savings time permanent. If it is approved by all of Congress, it would become effective in November 2023.
