Well, you've read the notes, the notes were rough, and now it is time for you to post until the rough cows come home.

A Question for BK (a day late)...according to the Kritzerland listing of Shoestring '57, it says "And the cover art is, of course, by the great Harvey Schmidt."  This is the cover that's in the Kritzerland listing, but you'll notice that in the bottom left hand corner is the name DAVID:

But this is Harvey Schmidt's very distinctive cover:

Will both versions be in the booklet, like you've done before?  Just curious. :)

No, that's the cover - the Harvey cover is the back side of the booklet and will be there.

Cool.  And if anyone's interested, I've added both titles to CastAlbums.org:

Rodgers and Hart Revisited, Vol. V

And:

Shoestring '57

Annabelle has developed a new trick. When I'm on the bathroom, either changing their litter or drinking water every day, as soon as I rise up from kneeling on the floor, she leaps from the bathtub onto its ledge and hurls herself at my back. As soon as she's attached to my back, she climbs to my shoulder and rides out of the bathroom. I don't mind it, but it's hell on my T-shirts.

I need to make a phone call this morning  and this apartment really needs a good vacuum.

Today is also St Gertrude's day, patron saint of cats.  Annabelle, Stella, and Thatch have gone over to Holy Trinity to light a candle.  I don't like giving them matches, so I hope those little devils don't burn the church down.

I don’t see myself eating anything green today, except maybe cucumber.

A very gray day awaits me.  It's misty, dour and unpromising.

The pond behind my house looks muddy this morning.  No doubt the result of the heavy downpours of last night.

This being one of my annual cooking days, I had wanted to get the corned beef started at 9 AM. As it happens, I got the pot on the stove and turned the burner on at 8:59. So not bad, eh?

I turned it to simmer at 9:20, and it’s got six hours to cook.

I am curious about the preparing of corned beef: boiling versus roasting.

Limerick:

A wonderful bird is the pelican,

His bill holds more than his belican.

He can take in his beak,

Enough food for a week,

But I'm damned if I see how the helican.
