So, a couple of weeks ago, I came across an ad for a sale that LOLPUZZLE was having.  Their puzzles were (and are still) up to 90% off!  I bought five, count 'em, FIVE puzzles for only $115.00 (which included an additional 10% discount for ordering five puzzles)!  Assuming they really sell them at the list price of $210.90 for the large sizes (which is what I bought), the full price would've been $1054.50!

Listening to the Handel Concerto Grossos - never heard a note of them, but they're enjoyable and played beautifully here.

I slept well until around 3:00, then Annabelle decided she wanted to get warm ad crawled under the blankets. Once we both adjusted to each other, I had the hardest time getting back to sleep. I dozed on and off, but my mind mostlty ran through things I have to accomplish this week, adjusting budget costs for possible future inflation, thinking aboutr casting if the project comes through, and on and on and  on and . . .

DR TCB, I had posted months ago about Amazon ripoffs with Fancy Feast prices. I only buy from Chew now. The problem I'm having is that Purina must be having one of these problems: shipping the product or not getting supplies from their suppliers. My cats love the Ocean Whitefush and Tuna, either grilled or in gravy, which I give them alongside a dfollop of Fancy Feast Grilled Tuna, but Chewy has been out of the Grilled Tuna for over a month. I refuse to go to Amazon because they are charging $25.95 for a carton of 12 cans, while Chewy's price for 24 cans was $19.20!

Last nighjt I watched part of the hearings for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. I'm sorry I missed Ms Lindsey Graham's hissy fits and other Trumpers' moronic attacks.  I caught Ted Cruz' flaming idiocy on display in reruns. I saw Senator Tom Cotton's grilling. I've always thought him a nitwit and jerk but his interrogation moved him into a new class, Major Asshole Supremo. I thought Cory Booker's response following Cotton was touching, beautiful, sensitive, and thoughtful. I have a lot of respect for him.

I saw some of the grilling, too, Larry.  There was a very unattractive blonde woman asking some very idiotic questions.  Jackson gave some very intelligent answers, but the blonde woman just wasn't having it.

One of the questions was "Can you define 'woman' for me?"  The reply was "No, I'm not a biologist".  The blonde woman then began declaring she could never vote for anyone who could not give her a definitive definition of what "woman" is.   What on earth?

As for Graham, he has previously voted FOR Ms. Jackson to hold federal judge positions.   It is always embarrassing to realize he represents my home state.   His questioning her about whether she knew what people were saying about other possible candidates was inane.

The Republican party is truly horrific.

Lawrence O'Donnell, on his MSNBC show, summed up the questioning by stating the Republican senators were asking her for things that "they", themselves, were hired to figure out.  They are the ones who legislate such things.

I will soon be off to see my ENT specialist. It has been a month since my last visit and we must assess my progress with the meds prescribed and what to do next to ensure my breathing gets better.

This is presently difficult given the vast amounts of pollen we are confronting at every step we take out of doors.

My mother's family is part of Abraham Lincoln's so I was always proud of the Republican part, although I'm a Democrat, but I'vew watcvhed that party move from intelligent conservatives to a few sensible folk and a shitload of morons, narcissists, whores, grifters, and thieves who pride themselves on their crimes and lack of education.

I am pleased to announce that my new one-person play, GEORGE SANDERS, is now available in both paperback and Kindle editions via Amazon.  Performance rights are available.

"I hate interviews because I do not get paid for them" -- George Sanders

George Sanders was Hollywood's "Professional Cad".

A fine actor, he played mostly secondary, and often villainous, roles in such classic films as THE BLACK SWAN, THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY, Alfred Hitchcock's FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT, THE GHOST AND MRS. MUIR, and ALL ABOUT EVE, for which he won an Academy Award. He, also, starred as "The Falcon" and "The Saint" in several movies.

Sanders played his charming heel both on an off the screen, refusing to give autographs, avoiding press interviews whenever possible, and doing everything he could to steer clear of the tax collector.. He was married four times; once to Zsa Zsa Gabor, and once to her sister.

GEORGE SANDERS, Michael B. Druxman's one-person stage play, joins the actor at the end of his life, as he ponders the mistakes he has made and contemplates suicide.

I also remember that Mr Oscar Levant was very superstitious and if he was driving and a black cat happened to walk in front of his car, he would turn around and find another way to his destination.
