DRDanise, that's really fascinating about the lizards and black snake.  All the fauna around the house in which I grew up were killed off by air pollution and other pestilence in the late 1960s and early 70s.  We had lots of praying mantises, butterflies, grasshoppers, fireflies, rabbits, bats, garter snakes, and I don't remember seeing any around the neighborhood when I returned home in 1972.  Thanks for the photos!

DRozderek, it's good to see you.

I wish we had the fire flies.  I would LOVE to see some pictures of them (hint, hint).

They started spraying for those stupid love bugs and guess what?  We still have them but it killed off many of the other good bugs that we used to have.

I have a fondness for the "walking sticks"  IE Praying Mantises but I haven't seen them or the fire flies for years.   :(   It's rare to even see a lady bug.

Have a good evening, DR George!

I have to go wash the dishes now.  Be back!

Word has it this will tour Australia (and possibly New Zealand) before making its way to the Great White Way.  I will be interested to see what happens to the show along the way.

Oh... I'm sure Bernadette Peters will get one of the lead parts because:

Nobody puts baby in a corner!! :D

Thanks for the review, Ozderek!

I just can do without any Black Snake; I run over some huge one once in Florida with my car and I was glad I was IN the car!

I'm not snake-friendly I'm afraid! :-[

Back from quite a good matinee performance.  Just a wonderful audience today!  A fine farewell to the first of our Frank Butlers.  Will soon be off to a big ol' cast and crew shindig, which is sure to be full of merriment, mirth, laughter, and legs.

Did anyone watch "Into The West" this weekend?  I tried but got bored after the first hour.  Mom (much as she loves Westerens) didn't care for it either.

I know it's a wonderful thing to hear the native lanuages, it makes it very hard on someone with bad eyesight to try to read the subtitles.  Not as interesting either.

Me either but did you know that Black snakes are an endangered species?

They really don’t hurt anything and are non-poisonous.  I tend to try to leave them alone when ever possible.

I can't believe I've seen three of them in the past few weeks.

'Twas a hot and muggy day in Manhattan. I am now sitting in the air conditioned comfort of our bed sitting room about to pay bills and enter information into Money. I have drunk copious amounts of water and may need to get up in the night to do "whatever". I did decide to exercise since yesterday I indulged with Larry. I shaved before I exercised so I won't have to do it tomorrow morning. Now I am fresh and ready for bed after computer activity. I am so formal right now I could "frow up"

Anyway, gang. Where is Mr. Jose??? I know he has a keyboard to attend to but that never stopped him before. He will show up when I'm in dreamland.

By the way Jose (BTW) I saw a picture of Nick. Wow!  :D There was a birthday party for him and Anthony and pictures were taken by a cast member. If that boy gets any more tan he will blend into woodwork. At least physically, he will make a great Hero.

Now, time for a CD and checkbooks.

DR Ginny, I found out why Expedia doesn't show the CI.  They prefer to show the hotels that have prepayment for the rooms.  The CI only takes your credit card info to hold a room but you don't pay for it until after you stay there.

I finely got the whole package thru Expedia by calling them.  I'm a little unhappy with my coming home flight.  It won't leave until 7:30 PM on Saturday night--it was 6:45 but got changed.  Ahh well.

I couldn't get Delta like I wanted to either, I'm back on American.  At least I am at the front of the plane this time.  I hope I won't hear the whine of their engine like I did the last time.  I was honestly ill by the time we got to NYC.  I don't know what I would have done if it had been the SLC trip.

In France it is "The Girl that I'll Marie At The Mairie", but who's asking me, hey? :)

News Alert!  I was on my back deck about an hour ago, when I heard the sound of crunching metal, followed by shouts, then someone yelling call 911.  I thought there must have been an accident around the corner at what we lovingly call Dead Man's Curve...a blind corner around which too many people drive to fast.  As it turned out, the accident happened on the street and hill above Dead Man's Curve.  Someone was (according to which story you hear) was either driving too fast, trying to park or trying to turn around when the car went over the curb and flip-flopped down the hill.  Paramedics, cops, and fireman all responded promptly.  They apparently have gotten the driver out of the automobile.  The accident happened up by actor Ron Glass's house.  I hear the victim in the car was Brock Peters.  I hear he is alive, but may be seriously hurt.  We called a neighbour who lives below the street where the car went it off the road.  They say the car ended up about ten feet above their jacuzzi.

By the time I got home last night, it was past midnight, and I was sort of in a haze.  Heck, I had been up since 6:00AM!  So...

I logged on, checked my e-mail, did my usual daily/nightly web-surfing.... Then woke up around 2:30... I had fallen asleep sitting up in my bed... with my hands still on my laptop's keyboard.  Thankfully, I was not typingggggggggggggg, and I did not end heading to any unseemly sites accidentaly.  So, I got up, brushed my teeth, then went to check my e-mail again....

Then I woke up again at 4:30... So...

This time I turned off the computer, turned out the lights and went to bed.
