The only update I received pn Herman is that he’s been released from the hospital. My sister was going to sleep in today and I can’t blame her for that. I’m going to operate on the “no news is good news” approach.

My other sister went to Louisville yesterday to do Mom’s taxes. The forecast says it might s—w there.

I’m hoping for a drama-free Friday. And I wish the same for the rest of us.

We have received a full price offer + on the house.  We will be confabbing with our agent this morning because of a contingency in the offer.....I don't think it's a deal breaker.

I don't think that was me, DR Jrand71. But I *KNEW* it anyway, so I'll happily take that credit!  :)

Yes, things are happening this morning. I woke to a cooler-than-normal house, and one look at the setting vs temperature differential on the thermostats told me what I needed to know. It was confirmed when I went to the basement and found a blinking red reset switch on the furnace. I pressed the reset button and it started up, but five minutes later it stopped. Tried one more time to confirm it was not going to stay on, and called the People. Fortunately, I have an annual service contract and they'll be out this afternoon to fix it. We've been through this before, maybe a couple of times in the past 25 or so years, and I guess it was time for another new starter, or whatever it is they actually replace.

(Also fortunately, we're out of the dead of winter, even if we're still having these weird cold spells. The house is 60+ and I'll be fine in warm-ish clothing till they get here.)

Oh, my. What else is going on?

Vixmom, I'll have a helping of each one of those chilis if you don't mind.

DR Elmore, I will do a search for Brad Johnson on Ancestry.com. You never know what will turn up in public records as far as more location information or whatnot. And in the unfortunate possibility that he has died, that should turn up -- as long as we can positively identify we have the right person. The challenge will be his common names (could his given name be Bradford, by any chance?) and the scant bit of "lived at" location we have for only a couple of years. So no promises. But I'll give it a try.

For the TOD, I am hopeful that this evening will be a well-needed relaxing one for me, and I'll do my best to choose something good and satisfying to watch.

I had the weirdest dream last night. A woman was supervising our team. The task was to create a presentation about musical theater, with children as the target audience. But she wanted us only to show slides of album covers, and not say anything. I was arguing, "What's the point?"  And then I woke up.

Maybe that woman in your dream is from this kid's family tree:

Well done, DR singdaw. That dream exactly illustrates my point about those people on FB who do nothing but post album covers, seemingly randomly, multiple times a day, without so much as a comment or anything to start an actual conversation. They rarely even participate on the rare occasions that any meaningful conversation does develop.

I saw a couple of links to Evening Primrose on YouTube. But colorized. Intriguing, but kind of bizarre.

So, DRslapjaw, you have been online here much longer today than I have seen you here in a very long time.

Are we not at work today?

Nope! Still here. I am at work, indeed. However, the call volume is light right now, so I have time in between calls to noodle a bit.
