I came home and realized I needed to make my dessert for bible study tomorrow.

So, for the last 90 minutes or so, I've been making an Osterkuchen.

It's an interesting cake. Kind of like cheesecake, except the feeling also has currants, rum and saffron in the filling. It looks good.

I injured myself earlier today. Pulled a muscle in my back.

Oh, no!

My dance teacher, Joy, studied massage and she stood on it at the right spot. It worked while we danced. I had no problems with my back.

Whew!

When I tried getting into the car later, the back started acting up again.

Oh, no! :o

Today at my mom's, after our family lunch, we didn't play Phase 10, we played Aggravation.

We play that every once in a great while, but Phase 10 is played much more often.

Back from a good show with about two-thirds full crowd - they haven't had these kinds of audiences in ages. I did have to laugh that two GRT members bailed at intermission. They're both writer/directors and both are hyper serious, over dramatic, no humor allowed types - I think he's the real culprit in terms of that and of course that would color her views. Having seen stuff by both I know their deal. But, next time I come to something they've done I'll be sure to leave halfway through - what's good for the goose, etc.

That way, I can write all over it and not have to worry about erasing everything.

It was late enough after lunch at my mom's, so I went to the local Meconi's Subs and had my usual half-Combo Cosmo-style (which is toasted...except they didn't toast it...but it was still good) and went through and wrote all of my notes and blocking in my new copied libretto vocal book.

Now, I just have to carefully erase everything from the rented copy.

Just a few minutes ago, I bought a ticket to see tomorrow's last performance of Evergreen Playhouse's production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

I'd like to have a house with a library. Wouldn't you?

I think these people have a library with a house.

I'm really enjoying my friend David's new autobiography. He's a wonderful storyteller.

He is, and I am enjoying it, too. I think he's a better writer than Paul Ford. Or at least, better edited.

I have the pdf of Paul's original million page unedited tome.

Is it naughty??

It was quite an interesting, informative (about things of which I was unaware, that is) and entertaining three hours.

The passion of the panelists was quite thrilling.  Samples of Rozsa's work were played and there were photos of Rozsa through the years.  Quite a bit of time was spent in a discussion of Rozsa's magnum opus "Ben-Hur" (1959) for which he won his third Oscar.

My very favorite of Rozsa’s works.
