Well, today cannot be as horrible as yesterday, and I hope my outing to see a new ENT doctor about these nasal polyps goes smoothly, from Access-a-Ride to appointment to home.

My first memory of hearing "Great Caesar's ghost" was when it was exhorted in the "Superman" TV series by Perry White, the editor of The Daily Planet, the newspaper where Lois and Clark worked.

TOD:  If I had access to that Time Machine for the purposes of catching the premiere roadshow engagement of any film, I think I would like to have experienced the Atlanta premiere at Loew's State Theater of "Gone With the Wind".

Good Morning.

I hope it's Thursday where all of you are, because it is Thursday here in Johnston SC.  I would hate to think you all got in your time machines and went to different days.

I have a 9:45 a.m. lab appointment at the VA in Aiken SC today.  I must leave about 8:45 a.m. It won't take more than 35 minutes to get there, but I like a cushion.

I was sorry to read about Bobby Morse.  My first knowledge of him was when he and his Adora-Belles were featured in "The Cardinal" (1963-Columbia Pictures).

I had the extreme good fortune to enjoy him as the Wizard in "Wicked" during its premiere pre-Broadway run in San Francisco.  I caught two performances and he was totally enjoyable in each one.

I never did learn why he was replaced by Joel Grey.

I like morning coffee and wordle, too.  This morning, thought, I must forego the coffeed until after I have blood drawn at the VA.

As for wordle, the oddest thing:  I dreamed of starting with a word just to see if a certain rarely seen letter would be in the puzzle.

When I actually started to play, I remembered and used that word.  The second and third letter of my starting word were the second and third letter of the day's word.

It was an unusual beginning.  I felt it could only be one of a few words..  I lucked out with my second word choice and got a third letter that let me know what the word would be.

Convoluted, isn't it!

TOD:

I don’t know from Roadshows. But I would love to see La Dolce Vita in a grand, old-fashioned movie palace as baroque as the film itself.

Robert Morse was replaced in Show Boat by John McMartin prior to its coming to New York.

Today I need to back my car out of the garage, park it in the sun and open it up, remove the floor mats, vacuum it out, and clean the "carpeted" floors as best I can. There was a slight mildew-y smell the other day. I'll also clean the seats, etc., but I'm told that the floor is the first thing to suspect as being the culprit. It's time for a good cleaning, anyway.
