The season finale of GHOSTS was most enjoyable.

It is Time Travel Night at TCM......and coming up in Berkley Square which I have never seen all the way through.....I shall endeavor to correct that tonight.

I finished a writing project for work. It turned out to be about 70 pages. That is way too long to be useful, so an extensive pruning is in order. But I think cutting is easier than writing, for the most part.

Since we have a number of Wordle regulars, let me ask:

Do you have a specific strategy you use when choosing the first and second words or do you just choose words at random?

I like to start with the vowels and usually use the word DEATH as my first choice. (Interesting choice, huh?) My second choice varies.

Have you used the WordleBot?

The WordleBot analyses your choices, then says things like, "Good choice, but I could have done better." What?! I prefer my AI without attitude, thank you

I generally use a 3-vowel word like orate or aegis.  Today, I used axing - only two vowels but with the x.  I am toying with starting with the word quiet in the near future.  My second word today was exits.  That one gave me the e, and it would not be any other letter than the last one.  So my third word was my best guess of the week.  That was today's word.

What I have found is that the basic vowels - a, e, i, and o - are often NOT in the word of a particular day...so you need to find words that have u and y.

I don’t use the Wordle bot and I never downloaded the app so I don’t have a record of how many I’ve done or my past performance, although I have always solved it although several times it was by the skin if my teeth

I generally start with adieu because of all the vowels and I generally try to include all the  right kegerator in subsequent words.  I have varied that sometimes though and just used a random 6 letter word so I could dispose or settle on some consonants

It was a fun night of dance class. Most of the students really seemed to be pleased with the progress they're making. That is always rewarding.

I'm back to Nero Wolfe. I love the Italian I'm learning, and I love the setting. It's not the 1930s like the novels, but it is the Italy of the 1960s. Very stylish.

Jane, I'm glad you were able to get your hearing aids to work with your new iphone. I'm sometimes frustrated that the salespeople don't have more expertise, but there's an awful lot to know and they're not highly paid. I hope you're very happy with your phone.

Thanks.  We usually find the staff at Best Buy helpful.  This staff in the phone department were exceptional.

Except that I have trouble hearing text notifications I am very pleased with the phone.  I will have to call Apple to discuss the issue.

My favorite version of "Far Away Places" was sung by Miss Gale Storm on "Oh Susanna" "The Gale Storm Show" & "Starring Gale Storm"

I was probably photographed by DR JEANNE's uncle.....it is NOT included in any of her CD's nor is it on YouTube.  She stood by a large globe and sang the song....as her character contemplated leaving her life as a Social Director on an Ocean Liner and ALL of her friends to marry a titled gentleman who had become interested in her.

It was most impressionable to a 10 year old who watched the show.....

Ms Storm was definitely photographed by my uncle, but, Jack, I'd be surprised if he photographed you, too!   ;D

After breakfast, while back in our hotel room, Bryan and family called.  For the first time in a video chat Freyja carried on a conversation with us.  With prompting she even said happy birthday.

We met a classmate, along with his girlfriend, who moved here last year and enjoyed a nice dinner at the Thai restaurant.

George, do you have an astigmatism?   I have daily contacts I no longer wear.  Your eye doctor might be willing to give you a few samples of single use contacts for the show.

Yes, I do have an astigmatism, and it didn't bother me when I wore them.

I don't need to see great detail (and I've done shows with no glasses or contacts), so what I have would be fine for the show.

And I have plenty of them.  I miscounted and actually have almost two dozen, so I have more than enough.

I asked because the contacts I have are for an astigmatism.   How many nights would you need them for?
