Happy Sunday to everyone.  There's a new Broadway Radio Show up on the site.  Singer Robert Bannon joins me to countdown his 12 Favorite Show Tunes.  Robert is a delight to chat with and also hosts his own interview show on YouTube called The Roundtable with lots of fun guests from the world of entertainment.  Also, check out his latest album Unfinished Business.

The manager of Nice Matin took this photo of my friends and me when we left the restaurant, The place was packed for lunch and we were one of the last to leave before they set up the dinner round./

Sunday morning greetings!  Sorry to have disappeared for most of the past week.  Everything's OK - I was busy getting ready for yesterday's virtual art class.  It was fun getting all inky and doing some messy art play that's kind of outside my comfort zone.

DR Elmore, I wish I could give you a big hug.  I'm so glad you had a nice lunch with the Newmans yesterday and that you heard from DR Ben.  I, too, wish he would return here to us.

Richard and I had a big day Friday.  We went to our county board of elections to vote in Tuesday's primary, then to Sharonville (Cincinnati 'burb) to see if one of our favorite lunch places survived the pandemic.  They did, indeed, and I thoroughly enjoyed my tuna melt.  From there, we found our way to a La Z Boy furniture gallery where we ordered ourselves new recliners for the family room.  We MIGHT have them by Christmas...

I am afraid I am in for a few weeks of not sleeping while waiting to get the scan and finding out the results.....but that's okay.

I was very distracted so I'm not really pleased with how the television show recording went yesterday.....but it will get the word out.

I took the B I G  mirror over to the house and put it on the mantel in the family room.....and there is a jonquil in a clear bud vase on the white fireplace in the living room.

The house was featured again today on the local TV show of homes for sale - so maybe....this week.

I'm beginning to sound like DR ELMORE.

I have indulged in the slowest start to the day possible, because I’m in the throes of one of these colds that COULD be allergies but I always think it’s a cold anyway, and why the HELL not? Actually, I really do think cold, because I ran myself ragged this week, especially with way too little sleep Thursday through Saturday. My defenses were down, and thank goodness I don’t have to do anything till Thursday this week because I need this collapse.

I guess I am auditioning for the Chief of Police.....my show JOSEPH follows Clue: Onstage, so I can realistically only do a smaller role....since for awhile they will both be rehearsing at the same time.

Good lyrics in the notes, and a good picture of DR Elmore and friends.

The outpourings of love and sadness for Bruce Pomahac are impressive indeed.

DR ChasSmith, our last stop Friday was Graeter's.  We had ice cream, of course, and I brought home 2 cinnamon squares and 2 cheese crowns.  They've changed the cinnamon squares, replacing the powdered sugar with drizzled icing on top - not the same.  Cheese crowns are as good as ever, but I removed most of the heavy white icing.  Richard did not and wished he had.

Oh, those cheese crowns sound so yummy. I don't remember if I ever had the cinnamon squares.
(Note to self...)

I might not know it, but what was the restaurant in Sharonville?

The Sharonville restaurant is just a diner called The Athenian - gyros, burgers, sandwiches, etc.  It's on Reading Road, just south of Sharon Road.

The recipe on the box didn’t work, so I had to improvise a new filling (apricot-coconut instead of pudding that never set). I didn’t add any fresh banana.

Is that why it looks like there is coconut on the frosting?

The topping is crushed vanilla wafers and toasted coconut.

Yes, and answers my next question about the off white/yellowish color :)

Today at church is "Homecoming".  Lots of folks will have family memberrs there who are from out of town.

I am sorry to miss it, but my hip is too unpredictable in pain levels to risk sitting in a pew.  I am managing pain with applications of Absorbine Veterinary Liniment.  It truly helps but cannot cure.

The opinions of some family with whom I dined last night is that my symptoms sound like sciatica.  No cure for that, but it can be managed.

Won't know a thing until my appointment on May 17th which I set up Friday evening.

I find that stretches help when I have sciatica.  Massages have also helped.
