We have started the series "Heartstopper" on Netflix - a gay coming of age story set in an English high school. Recommended.

Has anyone read The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman?

I don’t recall much about it, but he holds my attention.

I've started watching Jockey, which is as far from early 20th century England as you can get. I think I'm only going to watch half and call it a night.

The portion of the headline I could see.

""An Illinois couple found half-eaten, 'very well-preserved' McDonald's fries...."

Full headline:

"An Illinois couple found half-eaten, 'very well-preserved' McDonald's fries from the 1950s inside a bathroom wall while renovating their home"

:))

Back from a very good show. Very elderly crowd, so very little reaction to act one, although they were clearly enjoying it - but they suddenly woke up and came alive for the wrestling match and then all of act two they were very vocal - weird. Perhaps the medication wore off :) Sandy Bainum was with us, and two people who graduated high school in my class were there.

Cool!  And congrats on the very good show!

Looking forward to Jeff Harnar's forthcoming Sondheim tribute album. Although it sounds like it may be going the way of Betty Buckley's "jazz reinvention" approach. But it's all good.

I am, too...looking forward to his CD, that is.

I have a better idea of when I need to be on each side of the stage and how much time I have to get there.

There is no pass-through behind the stage, so if we don't enter from one side and exit the other that we need to be on for our next entrance, we have to go outside and around the building. ::)

I don't know what doors I'll actually need to go through, so hopefully that'll be answered tomorrow.

I'm in all black for the opening number of act two ("Under Attack," Sophie's nightmare), then other than scene changes, I'm not on stage until the wedding at the end.

Fortunately, I do have time to change into and out of those costumes, but do I need to?

I'm watching nothing. I am listening to music conducted by Dimitri Mitropoulos - so much fun stuff. Now playing: An amazingly raucous version of Milhaud's Le Beouf Sur la Toit.

Oh good, more fear mongering, just what everyone needs. I mean, they were completely wrong about the variant that's been going around - four weeks ago they said it was going to be much worse than Omicron - well, no, it isn't, wasn't, and won't be. That was supposed to happen last week. Funny how silent all the fear mongering pundits have been about the non-event - now they've adjusted the fear mongering to summer - it never ends. This sentence especially makes my blood boil: "Individuals could “have been misdiagnosed as having COVID-19” when some of them may have actually had TB because of the similarity of symptoms, the agency said."

Earlier I tried to type "baked," but instead I typed "naked." I had never thought about how close they were before.

And if you get really baked, you might end up naked!

I watched a pretty good documentary on Netflix called THE MYSTERY OF MARILYN MONROE: The Unheard Tapes.  I don’t remember if BK mentioned watching it, or if he watched it, whether or not he liked it.
