Vixdad drove to the hospital Friday morning for pre surgical testing and clearance for carpal tunnel surgery, became dizzy and blood pressure dropped, and after a series of twists and turns over the past 48 hours is currently in ICU, intubated and sedated…..

I happen to love the name Emma. That was the name of my paternal great aunt, who I knew briefly prior to her death when I was ten years old. They were a New York branch and are buried in Poughkeepsie. She and her immediate family are among the more fascinating (to me) in my family history. The only other Emma I have known personally was a very talented actor in a high school production of Barnum I played several years ago.
