We're busily getting ready for BK's visit to Portland.  We had a great "reality check" run through of the Bacharach revue today, and will have another one tomorrow with the brass players.

BK has had very nice write-ups in The Jewish Review and the Oregonian.

And BK has learned how to redeem a voucher.  This may be the best news of all.  :)

JMK, I looked in the A&E part of the Oregonian and didn't see anything. It must have been in another section.

Here are my two Bollywood movies for this weekend...if I actually have time to watch anything.

KAAL (2005) starring John Abraham and some other hindu speaking people. I think it is sort of a "most dangerous game" plot, but I am not sure. I do know there will be some singing and dancing amongst the violence and blood. And I am quite sure Mr. Abraham will take his shirt off several times.

And then, if time permits, I will watch RAKHT (2004) which is some sort of supernatural thriller musical starring the hunkalicious Sunil Shetty.

I think I'm through for the day - now to write for a bit.  Whew!  All is well at the pressing plant - they'll actually start doing the print part of the job on Monday (that's what takes longest), and I'll get them the CD masters on Thursday, and we should have everything two weeks later.

Listening to my advance copy of the new Guy Haines prompted me to put on his earlier album...what a terrific singer!  What terrific songs!  It's a Guy Haines day here at the Pogue household.

I probably will finish this short story tomorrow, or maybe I'll finish it whilst in Portland.  I've been enjoying it so much, I sort of don't want it to end.  It's the longest of the ones I've done thus far - close to forty pages.

What, is everyone taking a siesta?  Let us not dawdle, Amaryllis - let's get off our butt cheeks and get some postin' goin' on, otherwise we'll just have a repeat of last June's rather lackluster month here at haineshisway.com, and we wouldn't want THAT, now would we?

A few minutes ago, a few young people were fighting outside the hotel with... baseball bats! Yep, at 3:00 am here... blocking the traffic and with people in the cars just staring!!

Welcome to a new century!

Les poissons, les poissons
How I love les poissons
Love to chop and to serve little fish
First I cut off their heads
Then I pull out their bones
Ah mes oui, savez toujours delice

Les poissons, les poissons
Hee hee hee, haw haw haw
With a cleaver I hack them in two
I pull out what's inside
And I serve it up fried
God, I love little fishes, don't you?

Here's something for tempting the palette
Prepared in the classic technique
First you pound the fish flat with a malette
Then you slash off their skin
Give their belly a slice
Then you rub some salt in
'Cause it makes it taste nice

Zoot alors, I have missed one!

Sacre bleu, what is this?
How on earth could I miss
Such a sweet little succulent crab
Quel Domage, what a loss
Here we go, in the sauce
Now some flour I think just a dab
Now I stuff you with bread
Don't worry, 'cause you're dead!
And you're certainly lucky you are
'Cause it's gonna be hot in my big silver pot!
Tout-aloo mon poisson
Au revoir

One man's poisson is indeed another man's poison DR François.

One man's poisson is indeed another man's poison DR François.

IMHO, I think that it has to be the WORST song ever written (music AND lyrics) for a full-length animated film!
Well; some boisson can a poison too! :)

Tom,

TCB has not even reacted to your posting of that gorgeous picture of him!
Ingrat! ;)
