The first film I recall with nudity was The War of the Buttons, a French film I saw in 1964 or 65 as a college freshman.

I prefer a movie like First Nudie Musical that takes a sunny view of sexuality to Darker, more twisted worlds of The Night Porter or Salo. Not denying the validity of the latter, just stating my preference.

My ex-boss’s husband last night told me he has a daughter in opera. He was telling me about seeing her in topless opera, something he did not want to see. Reminds me of nudity on stage.

Anita Morris in Nine was essentially the first nudity in a show I remember. My second Broadway show.

Yes DR TCB - I thought of the same Dr. Rick commercial you wrote about....and he did indeed buy the shirt anyway....in one of the latest commercials, he is attending a movie with his charges - it is most amusing.....

When one young lady decides to applaud at the end of the film, Dr. Rick cautions her: "No one who made the movie is here....."

Hmmmmm......I guess the first movie I saw that had NUDITY in it was Planet of the Apes when the astronauts were skinny dipping and their behinds were visible for several shots.

Most disturbing was probably in Salon Kitty - a German film.....with Ingrid Thulin.....

Although Kathy Bates in About Schmidt was unexpected and scary.
