Today is the day of THE RECITAL.....so I shall be going to that.

Tomorrow is the first day of JOSEPH auditions - and I am hoping to get some good folks and SOME of the folks I had last year.

I like it because it's some singing and then ALL DANCING.  I love watching people learn my dances and then putting it all together.....so to speak.

Those people who killed themselves thinking they’d hitch a ride on the Hale-Bopp comet struck me as odd.

BTW, Mom in her thick German accent pronounced that as Hell Boob.

Since I decided to finally vacuum, I did not go down for yesterday's mail, but I forgot there's another delivery today, so I'm going to hte basement and mail boxes now.

The vacuuming, from emptying the carriage to giving the main living area as thorough a cleaning as possible, took 45 minutes. It's difficult pushing an upright vacuum cleaner and supporting oneself on a cane.

I've been listening to a most enjoyable album this morning, Thomas Hampson's collection of Stephen Foster songas with a wonderful ensemble of players.

George, while early at least you had a ride vs getting up earlier to pick people up

I'm not really up, but Tom sent me a text last night saying that he's having trouble with his computer and his electronic devices, so he couldn't post last night.  Hopefully, they'll all be better soon!!  And now, I'm going back to sleep!

Am waiting for, and hoping to see, my porch man today.  There is some repair work to be done.  I believe that a re-screened porch should last much longer than a month before needing a repair, but the work needs to have been done correctly the first time.

We shall see.

This is disappointing.  I hope it will be fixed correctly and there won't be more issues.

We have been cooking our corn in the husks in the microwave.  It is easy, quick, and taste delicious.

Microwaved husks are easy to slide off of the corn.

It was kind of fun.  We just walked for about three hours and saw some birds, but mostly heard birds.

Well......my sister misunderstood what my other sister said.

We were all dressed up and drove over to the recital place....and the parking lot was empty.....  Turns out the recital is TOMORROW.

And of course I have JOSEPH auditions so I will be unable to attend.
