  • A person should celebrate what passes by.

I will know more tomorrow, but this is the last straw if the sale is indeed dead. Perhaps the closing is just in limbo. I will see what I can learn tomorrow. If it's  dead, so am I.

I wish you could force them to buy you out at the price they "expect" to get from any sale.

“Tomorrow is St. Tallulah’s Day.”

Bit of nonsense dialogue in Jabberwocky.

Four minutes to negativity time. At least it looks negative.

  • What is it, fish?

Finished one movie, may go for another. Meanwhile, the sound of fireworks is constant.

  • Because I can!

My brother Randy just called me.  Apparently the City of Middletown has kiboshed the property sale. There will be no closing on Friday. I am a dead man.

Oh my God!  I can’t believe it.  Larry, I am so sorry.

Today, I went to my mom's and played Phase 10 with the ladies.

Another friend of my mom's, Sonia, played too, but she didn't have much experience playing cards of any kind, so Dee "helped" her. ::)

Dee tends to be kind of controlling and bombastic.

I'm sure that she thinks she means well, but she didn't give Sonia much of a chance to do things and think through things on her own as she was learning the game.

A couple of times we said to Sonia that if she just wanted to watch and chat with us (and eat ;) ) that she didn't have to play, but she stuck it out to the end of the game...which Dee happened to win...which was fine.

Then my mom said (after Dee left) that if Sonia wanted, she could come over to be taught by just her and Mona, who is also a very easy going card player.
