I'm moments away from having to have an unpleasant phone conversation. Oh, it won't be unpleasant for me, but it WILL be unpleasant for the person on the other end of the line. After that, I shall be in fine fettle.

Jane: The air here is smokey. The wildfire is now at 30,000 acres. I think I posted pictures of the same area during the spring. I think they said on the morning news there are 20 wildfires around Arizona.

I have been at the church thus far today, opening and closing doors and windows to check the security system, labeling wires, picking up rocks, and other assorted tasks.

I’m trying not to get too involved in today’s topic or I will eat too many cookies and other goodies. My plan is to loose a pound or two before my almond macaroons arrive.

Not sure I will succeed since I’m indulging in half an egg bagel with a little butter on it.

Greetings from Richmond!

The drive down was relatively uneventful. I did end up driving behind a truck hauling garbage, some very odoriferous garbage!, for a few miles, but we evetually got out of each other way so to speak. I started feeling a little headachey about halfway through my drive, and then I realized I hadn't had anything to eat since breakfast this morning. I guess I got carried away with my cleaning. So, as soon as I hit Richmond, I stopped into Ukrop's and picked up a Chicken Tenders Meal for my late-late-lunch/dinner. And I got some corn pudding and collard greens for my sides! Yummy!

-Oh, and a slice of yellow cake with chocolate frosting for dessert.

So, now I'm back at Steve's, I've had my dinner, and just watching some TV.

On CD Baby we've been asked to give some examples who Guy Haines sounds like, i.e. a comparison to another singer. I hate that stuff, but they like to do it. Who would be your choices? Broadway names preferred, as that's our audience, but any ideas would be appreciated.

My first thought for a comparison BK is Tony Perkins.

I can hear GH singing "Moonlight Swim" and "Prettiest Girl In School". Perkins did some lovely recordings for Ben Bagley. (and of course the OC for "Greenwillow").
