I must mention that Elmore gave me some CD goodies the other day. Best of Chad and Jeremy and multiple disks of Babes in Toyland, of which he is the foremost expert on the planet.

And I know quite a few other bakeries that sell almond macaroons. One place I know sells them Plain and Chocolate Dipped!

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to check out any bakeries in the Pacific Northwest. Someday...

Off to the West Coast tomorrow. My youngest cousin is getting married out near San Jose. Gosh, I remember chaperoning his 6th grade field trip up to Mendocino when I lived out there. He asked some little girl out and it was the sensation of the campground. Now, he's getting married. Not to the same girl, of course.

I have something like 50 first cousins, and he is the last of that generation. It will be good to see Aunts and Uncles and folks I don't get to see too often. A nice vacation too.

So sorry to read about your tooth pain, DR Ron. Pain associated with the teeth is among the WORST there is. Hopefully your dentist gave you some pain killer to numb it a little.

I knew I wouldn't have time to finish ADVISE AND CONSENT when I saw the chores awaiting me when I got home and also the fact that the phone has rung all night long.

All I managed to do was squeeze in (among the phone calls) an ANGEL episode on DVD. I have two more to go and I will be finished with Season 2.

Creamy Guy Haines.

Just spent an hour on the phone with my web designer, going over every inch of the site on our final test. Everything works splendidly. We are adding just a handful of items (we finally decided on shipping and handling costs, plus now there will be release dates listed, and also a "mail order" option for those who don't do credit cards). I'm sure we'll be making adjustment over the next few days as people check out the site and have comments, but I think it will be ready to go "live" tomorrow morning. However, we are not officially announcing the "liveness" until Monday (partly because of the way AOL caches pages - it could take that long for the site to show up), so you dear readers will have first crack at checking everything out and preordering (preorders are key to the success of Kritzerland, so I'm hoping that everyone who can do so, will). More about all this in tomorrow's notes.

Well I was supposed to be in Montreal, Quebec, Canada right at this moment, BUT I never got off the ground. I left work at 5pm and drove to Miami Internation Airport. It took me a hour. They moved the check in from terminal C to A, but the gate was still at C. So stupid. So I had a 90 minute wait to boarding. And I waited And I waited. They closed the airport because of the lightning storm. It not only prevented planes from yaking off but landing as well. So here I am back in Boca Raton and not able to see my family which is why I was going there for 2 1/2 days.

John Reardon did indeed record for Ben Bagley. I think he was a favorite of his on his latter day (not the Mormon recordings) LPs and later cds.

I'm feeling peculiar - don't know if this is a result of one of the JMK kids being ill, but I suspect it is, as I don't get sick unless I catch it from someone else. I'm hoping it will go away quickly - drinking lots of that stuff I loathe - that EmergenC, and am sucking on Cold-eez. We shall see how I feel on the 'morrow.

I also watched the tail end of a movie last night. The TV Guide channel said it was Woody Allen Sweet and Lowdown. But it was from the UK. Not sure if it was Ireland, Wales or Scottland. But this was first English language film I ever watch that had English Subtitles!

Well, I must go to bed and sleep the night away. Tomorrow, Friday June 24th, is the American Cancer Society's 2005 Thurston County Relay For Life Event, and I'm participating in it! I'm on a team at my work. Once I wake up Friday morning, I'll probably be awake until Saturday evening...with very, very, very (that's three verys) little sleep time, if any. And once I leave work (sometime in the early afternoon) and go to the event, I won't have access to my computer. And once I get home Saturday evening, I'm going to literally crash and sleep until Sunday afternoon! So, I have a vvveeerrryyy llloooonnnnngggg weekend ahead of me, with a lot of walking. I hope I survive.
