Good Evening!
Back from dinner. And the walk. Well, walks. The walk to Peking Pavilion. And the walk back from Peking Pavilion. We're both a little tired from the walks, but the food was very good. Spring Rolls, Shrimp Toast (one of the best renditions I've ever had), and Shrimp and Scallops Imperial with extra Broccoli.
We had planned to walk down to Shockoe Bottom to get dessert. Well, at least I thought we had planned to walk down there. *Peking Pavilion is located in Shockoe Slip. After turning here, and turning there, Steve said, "And here's the Manchester Bridge - our walk back to the apartment." -What about dessert?!?!?! He had lost track during our foot tour.
It was OK. The sun was just in the middle of setting, so the sky looked wonderful from the bridge, over the river, on the skyline, etc. And Dave Koz was performing tonight at Fridays at Sunset at Kanawha Plaza which is at one end of the bridge, so we were serenaded on our walk back home. The buildings provided a very clear and ambient acoustic.
-And we have ice cream and wafer cookies here anyway.
