DR Elmore, catnip sprays are the best thing ever. I do kind of rub dry catnip into their fur sometimes, but I never thought of spraying the cats themselves with the stuff. This will have to be tried on Mikey’s next evening of fun and merriment.

I went back to bed for 45 minutes, where I was walked over by Stella and Annabelle, who fnally decided to lie down with me. Kitty cleanup is over and the bed is made. All is quiet in the cathouse for the moment.

I'm trying to keep my spirits up while we wait for a final call on that property sale, so last night I watched the 1981 broadcast of Ashton's ballet La Fille Mal Gardee, which may ber the sunniest ballet ever made. It just perked me right up and had me laughing. The wonderful music is delightful and funny, Michael Coleman and Leslie Collier are funny, sentimental and brilliant dancers as the young lovers, and the dancing chickens and roosters are truly funny and truly delightful. Brian Shaw, playing Mme Simone, the protective mother, in drag deserves awards for the clog dance alone.

Surprisingly last night Act Two went very well.

The costumes looked nice....the lights are well set.

Tonight we will have percussion in addition to the piano....I'm not sure what else is being planned....the music director is keeping it under her hat. So perhaps the Hooterville Sim Phony Orchestry is going to be joining us.
