Nataume Soseki’s novel, Sanshiro, is a coming-of-age tale of a young Japanese man. So, naturally, the introduction says it’s based on Jane Austen.

What isn’t based on Jane Austen?

  ::) ;D

I looked it up on Goodreads and was relieved to find Austen wasn't mentioned ;)

Maybe inspired by is a little closer than based on. But still…

I slept well last night, but knew I needed another day at home. I rescheduled my hair appointment first thing, then trimmed my bangs -- the rest of my hair can wait. I'm on the mend and enjoying an easy day.

Elmore’s chili was based on Jane Austen.

I use Jane's recipe.
