I just re-listened to The Light in the Piazza, which I had not done for some time.

I didn't like it the first time I listened to it, but over time I have come to regard the score as extremely beautiful.

I first read "maple bar" as some kind of candy thing. Then I thought that didn't make a lot of sense, so I considered that maybe she was offering him a piece of furniture, i.e. a bar made of maple. That didn't make total sense either, but bars can be useful and attractive pieces even if used for something else, so that's what I went with. And now, it IS a candy bar...?

I LOVE the maple frosteds at Dunkin', which only a few of the locations in my area carry in the fall.

It is so depressing that EVERYTHING has become politicized as a hill-to-die-on.

This weekend, the Cracker Barrel chain tried to add a vegan meat option to their breakfast menu. Note: they did not remove anything from the menu; just added an additional option. And people lost their minds.

Duck Donuts adds bacon to the maple. I’m not a fan. Like you, I want the maple by itself.

There’s a restaurant in town that has maple pie on the menu. Quite good.
