I had a terrible night of sleep, but I had a pretty lousy day after learning about Keith's death, which resulted on several crying jags during the evening. Then, one of my late afternoon emails contained an invitation to a memorial service for my late friend Bruce Pomahac in early October.

I finally got to sleep some time after midnight, so I decided t trn off the alarm and sleep as late as I wanted. Around 6:30 I woke up, but tyhe sleep was fitful, fretful, and very restless.

I would lovew an HHW get-together when BK is in town, but my time is problematc:
1. maneuvering a walker in tight spaces
2. At some point I'm hoping on cataract surgery
3. These days I'm not comfortable being out after dark, but I would do t for BK.

About 20 people in a related area were laid off yesterday. My team was not affected. In fact our supervisor got permission to add two people. This is in addition to the two she’s in the process of adding. Crazy world.
