Glad to hear the Kritzerland show went along swimmingly.  It sounds most entertaining.

Thanks - yes hopefully the opening night - on a FULL MOON NIGHT - will go as well as the rehearsal last night.

We shall see what we shall see.  Not sold out tonight, two tickets left for tomorrow and some for Saturday.  So some folks may get lucky and get in.....

A full day here, so I must be quick. I just got back from taking Kristi to rent a car while hers is in the shop, and I will soon be leaving for a friend’s house to give him a li’l tutorial on setting up Apple MainStage and programming a few sounds for a show in which he'll be using it for his first time. After that I must run a couple of errands this afternoon, and then have an evening-long rehearsal with our Carrie — just her and her songs tonight, which will be most enjoyable after the group numbers I’ve had to put together these last few nights.

Oh my. Probably just as well you’re not doing DARK OF THE MOON or something equally lighthearted instead.

Break ‘em tonight, DR Jrand71!

I’m totally in for the get-together. I’ll just have to do my best on the date planning because of my show, obviously, and I guess the sooner the better so I can reserve said date(s).

I signed off HHW, went back to bed around 8:00 for another hours sleep with Annabelle and Stella. Ive now finished kitty cleanup and made the bed. I really do not want to go out into the humidity and heat for the mail.

Back in undergrad days, I had a class in libretto reading to review shows that didn’t make it commercially to see if any were worth reviving. She Loves Me, of course, was the rose of sheer perfection, to quote another musical. Skyscraper was anything but. I couldn’t find the score, but the dialogue was forced and unfocused and unfunny. It didn’t deserve Dorothy Kilgallen’s legendary ire. It just wasn’t good enough.

About 20 people in a related area were laid off yesterday. My team was not affected. In fact our supervisor got permission to add two people. This is in addition to the two she’s in the process of adding. Crazy world.

Wow, good for you and your department.

Merrick Garland just spoke and praised the integrity of the FBI.

There were other layoffs throughout the organization. But the 20 I mentioned was probably the largest group.
