I was really surprised at how that little neighborhood has changed. I hadn't been there in several years, definitely before Covid. The two little shops next door were both gone, empty, so at least parking improved. Other storefronts across the street were empty, too. It's one of those older areas that hasn't been bulldozed for big box stores and still has small businesses. I'd like to see it stay that way. Santa Monica has become very upscale and unaffordable. This is one of the less expensive areas, but it has its charms.
