Heard back from both people. I'd written a mutual friend of one of the people and asked what was what, and within five minutes of sending that the person finally responded. The other person responded, too - not sure it's gonna work with either of 'em but at least I got the response.

I just checked and the e-book (OverDrive Read and epub only, no Kindle), has a 26-checkout license.

The downloadable talking book is one checkout/user, no limits. Neither will be released until the 23rd...and they're both in "pending" carts for my library so the selector has selected them for purchase.

I feel bad now. Sometimes I check out a book to read a little bit of it. I hate knowing that I might be reducing the number of times it can be read before having to be purchased again.
