One of the weird stories of the film is that Ruth in the early days had a speed typist do her calendar for her. It turned out to be Doris Roberts of Everybody Loves Raymond fame.

Why have I never heard of the Beverly Hills Playhouse before?  I just read that Tom Selleck received his acting training there.  I never knew.
