Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

That librarian cartoon book that DR John G. mentioned looks quite appealing.

I still love the Harry Potter book franchise, but I have soured somewhat on the author after her very public anti-trans campaign.

I have a hold on the Kindle edition at three different libraries. ::)

Five weeks until it arrives. I’ll be in Greece.

I'm overjoyed that Joe Biden is addressing MAGA treachery and the un-American nature of all it represents.

I’m more interested in Fairy Tale, the new Stephen King, and Less Is Lost.

Wednesday afternoon greetings!  We’ve just cleared out the corner of our family room where some ceiling mold abatement work will begin tomorrow morning.  Pray for Rosemary’s baby.

I am down to two libraries.  Pierce is so good I don't feel the need for a third one anymore.

One is supposed to only take 3 weeks.  Another is as much as 12 weeks...and the third is estimated at 6 months! :o

Which library shows the 3 week ETA?

There is a new edition of Ted Chapin's Everything Was Possible (with some added material) about the creation of Follies. The audio book is narrated by Jonathan Groff.

Also, you can't get the hard copy of Mary Rodgers's book (sold out) for quite some time, if you don't have it already, but the Kindle version became available yesterday.

Timberland Regional Library!  There were only six holds on three copies!

Tonight's rehearsal just got cancelled.

Our absolutely adorable gal playing Carrie is the one whose car blew a [something] which caused a tire to blow out and she careened off the road a couple of weeks ago. Everything was fixable, and she's felt fine except for just little bouts of neck soreness. Said soreness just reappeared last night, keeping her awake all night, and since we were only working on Carrie and Margaret White's scenes tonight (and they are both wonderful fast learners), we can afford to miss this one.

I only hope she's getting the expert medical attention she needs to completely heal this thing. Whiplash is insidious, in how it so often doesn't even show up till way after the fact. So while we pray for Rosemary's baby for DR Ginny, I will welcome some vibes for Carrie who mustn't be late for the prom.

Mind you, I don't mind the cancelled rehearsal. I can really use the quiet evening at home. I just want her to be well.

DR Elmore, thank you for posting the Jubilee story in detail.

What an incredible series of events. It's so hard, first of all, to believe that Diana's death was a quarter of a century ago (did I really just type that?), but how it affected your entire project, and all those other people, is just mind boggling.

(Not to mention, Gorbachev's death yesterday, and this anniversary today, are resonating like crazy.)

I do hope DR John G.'s lottery winnings come home soon. I think we've been waiting damned long enough.

It does raise an interesting question, though, about to what degree one is able or willing to separate an artist (and accompanying baggage) from their art.

Pain-begone vibes to TCB, Elmore, and anyone else needing them.

BTW, I recently learned of a new naturopathic pain reliever. Once I try it out I'll report on it, in case anyone wants to try it (or not).

I would say that the two are intertwined, but most of us don't see it.
