Earlier today, I put in a load of laundry, then my friend Shelly asked if I was busy.

I rushed downtown and got there a half hour late, but as I said, it wasn't very busy at all, so it really was all good.

And so was the play! Both the young girl lead and the actor who played her friend were actually 13 years old.

It was a very good production and they had a live cellist playing when the upstairs neighbor (yes, the set was two levels!) was playing a record. I don't know if that was in the script, but the cellist was very good and it was a nice touch.

The play had no intermission, so she (the cellist) didn't have to sit up ~~their~~ there for an incredibly long time.

I remember when that play opened Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons.
It had great reviews, including the New York Times.
