Last night, my friend Shelly and I went to Applebee's for dinner. I had their Quesadilla Burger with an Impossible burger patty. After ordering, I was told that it normally comes with bacon bits and did I want them not added. I said that I just wanted to try the patty and to keep the bacon. It was quite good. Less greasy than the beef burger...definitely delightful.

Today, the family is going to celebrate my sister Diane's birthday! Her actual birthday is Tuesday the 27th (as is her ex-m-i-l's, who is also named Diane).

On Tuesday, my sister and mom (and maybe my sister's boyfriend) are going to IKEA. So for her present, I went online and got her an IKEA gift certificate that she can print out and take with her.

I have to figure out the notes stuff - because I posted them at nine CA time (that's how it's set up) they posted as September 24 rather than the 25th. So, I had to go in this morning and fix that, so they're up now. They actually should have been up before unless you tuned in just as I was doing the fix. Tonight, I'll schedule for just after midnight and that should work.

I've been replacing my old lightbulbs with LED bulbs, but I would swear that somew of them are not producing the bright light that the old bulbs did. Yesterday afternoon, Ann and Jen replaced a couple for me now that I cannot stand on a ladder, and I am much happier about the light in the room than I was yesterday morning.

I'm up, I'm up - I fell asleep right away, but woke up four hours later and could not get back to sleep due to very ABS (Active Brain Syndrome). I've shaved and will shortly shower, but I don't have to leave here until eight-thirty. I'm trying this new Curb app - it's like Uber but with cabs.

Since DR Elmore mentioned LED lightbulbs --

Can anyone here tell me what kind of stand lights are commonly used in Broadway pits and elsewhere these days? The traditional incandescent ones are still made but are increasingly hard to find in local stores. I'm interested in plug-in lamps, not the little battery-operated or rechargeable ones.
