Loved this comment from book reviewer ron Charles.

Speaking of immortal novels, Nicholas Sparks’s 1996 bestseller, “The Notebook,” is now a musical at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. (Someone just drove a stake into Harold Bloom’s heart.) Adding musical numbers to “The Notebook” sounds like pouring marshmallow sauce on a lollipop, but I need to be careful what I say because my younger daughter has cried through the 2004 movie adaptation approximately 8 gazillion times. You can see clips of the play here. And yes, of course, it rains on the stage.

(I doubt the link carried over.)

Video?? Do you mean those blurbs at the top of the article? There isn't a video having anything to do with us, is there?

(My browser didn't even show me those videos, I had to view the link on my phone. Every single device I have manages these things differently, which is a nightmare sometimes. Too many versions, ad blockers on some, etc.)

Five years ago, looking for love in rthe right place, I walked into a K9 Kastle trailer at Union Square and walked out with a young (10 months old) cat who had personality with a capital P.

It was a warm Satrday afternoon, and I have the clear memory of walking out of that trailer with Annabelle and her carrier, balancing on my cane, and heading to Fifth Avenuer to find a taxi to get her to her new home.

So cute!

TCB, can you get your PCP to call the pain clinic so they can sort things out between themselves?

I have a hunch that this is the way they play it.  The girl at the pain clinic, said, "Yeah they bounce you back and forth; then they will suggest hand braces..."  I told her they already did.  She said next, they will recommend you try going to an urgent care clinic.

Last night’s banquet had a dessert table. Excellent chocolate truffles and macarons. Good carrot cake. Weird honeydew panna cotta with a basil, lemongrass and candied ginger gelee on top. Way too fussy.

I might try an urgent care facility if I knew what I was suppose to say.  Do I go in and tell them that my doctor and pain clinic can't decide who should give me pain pills?  Or do I go, never mention my doctor opr my pain pills, but just tell them I am in terrible pain?  That second one sounds dishonest and makes me look like a drug addict.

What is a hinger gelee?

A typo on my part. Ginger. Sorry. A gelee is a kind of gelatin soup or liquidy jelly. This was overloaded with those flavors.
