Part one of a lovely miracle is now complete. Part two of the lovely miracle would hopefully happen by Wednesday or Thursday - so, it's nervously awaiting that time.

I love the Swedish Dragon Tattoo films and My Life as a Dog is wonderful. But I also love many, many films of Ingmar Bergman, including Smiles of a Summer Night, The Magician, The Seventh Seal, and more. Also, the Wallander films.

My friend Red Press has died. His first Broadway show on which he played reeds was the original production of Gypsy. At the time of his death, Red was the contractor for four Broadway musicals. He was 98 years young.

My friend Red Press has died. His first Broadway show on which he played reeds was the original production of Gypsy. At the time of his death, Red was the contractor for four Broadway musicals. He was 98 years young.

That's sad, and a bit of a shock, even at his age.
The official announcement of his retirement not long ago was a firm reminder of that reality.

I'm so grateful to have been able to meet such a pillar of Broadway history, and to shake his hand on a few occasions, thanks to DR Elmore.
And he was such the gentleman every time.

RIP, sir.

DR Laura, it's impossible for me to imagine sitting through that. My sympathies.

Here's an audio of the ballet sequence. I couldn't find video of it.

Thank you! I'd forgotten about that, but I'd been mildly - no, morbidly - curious about it when reading of it months ago.
I'll check it out in a little bit.

I've always wondered if that was a real person, or a corporate name.

Usually, he was billed as Seymour "Red" Press.

Shocking about Leslie Jordan, too. We were supposed to see a show of his in downtown Saint Paul that got scuttled due to the pandemic.

DR Jrand72, Debra Messing has a cameo in Bros. I know that will make you want to rush out to see it.
