DR George - unless I missed it, I don't believe we had your report of how the matinee show - with your family and friends in attendance - went yesterday?

For the most part, it went quite well...only one (but obvious) goober, but the rest of the show was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Nice :)
My mom and her friend Mona also really liked the show and my performance. :)

:) :)

Thanks, Jane, twice! :D

I read GIANT by Edna Ferber for my upcoming book discussion.

A major complaint by the new wife to Texas was they they ruined the steaks frying them.

I think that's her best book. I love the musical version.

I very muchly like the cast recording, too!

Very strange episode of The Avengers called The Master Minds. Don’t think I’d seen it before.

And speaking of mixed metaphors...    Am I the only one who finds the term chicken-fried steak confusing? What does it have to do with chicken, really?

Same batter, perhaps?

On a positive note, Glynis Johns remains alive and celebrated her 99th birthday a week or so ago.

That one is obviously chicken, not that I would eat it with the gravy on top.

Some restaurants serve it with sweet syrups to apply as you desire.

I gave my waiter a very dirty look and told him to remove them at once.

I went through the photos I'd snapped at Encores! rehearsals, and found just a handful that included "Red" Press during the 1776 orchestra reading and Brigadoon sitzprobe. Here's one from each. He's talking with Rob Berman in the 1776 one, which Rob didn't conduct but he came in for a while to observe.

Ooh I forgot you were able to do that! How lucky!

I have decided that I  am going to see Jason Graae’s show in NYC this coming Sunday night. It’s late, 9:30, start time, but the other show on Friday is too early ( 7 pm ) for me to get there in time after work.

I wish the times had been reversed.

Part two of the lovely miracle just happened, so that's wonderful news. Wasn't quite as lovely as hoped for, but still lovely is lovely and there's no denying it.

So, to make it lovelier, I'm thinking of doing a private fundraising thing right on this very board. Goodies that I would normally have in an Indiegogo campaign will be listed on this here board. There are a few things we need to do here at Kritzerland and one of them involves purchasing a piece of equipment that will really help us in the future in terms of releases - it ain't cheap, but it is necessary. What do you all think? Books, CDs, art, signed items, show posters, and some cherce memorabilia, all that sort of thing. Thinking about doing a first listing tomorrow.
