Well, I'm not making my appointment, thanks to AAR. Today the driver called me and toldme he was outside. I happened to be waiting in tghe lobby so I said I would be out in about three minutes.

I stepped outside onto the sidewalk, and there was no sign of a car or driver waiting, so I called the number for the driver, who sounded Chinese or Japanese ands barely spoke English. I asked where he was and he said At The Corner. I said which corner, and all he did was repeat The Corner over and over. I called Access-a-Ride, and told them we had a problem. AAR insisted he was on location, and I rerpeated, No, I am on location.

I finally spoke to a young man with sense and since it was now too late, I asked him to cancel my trip, came back nside the building, called the docotr and rescheduled for Nov. 6. Color me really truly pissed.

We just managed to cram the 7-player off-Broadway scoring (less the acoustic bass preferred on one number) into the approx. 8'x16' space formerly known as the Stage Left wings. Or, um... wing. But it worked, damn it. (Click to enbiggen.)

Thank you, and yes indeed it is a crowd shot. The instruments are two keyboards (plus laptops and other gear), cello, electric bass, drums, and a total of six guitars for two players.

TV news seems to be obsessing over mid-terms. I thought we had earned some relief after the 2020 election cycle, but they have gone above and beyond.

The political ads are sickening.

The analyses of whether all will be lost to the democrats or whether the republicans will have their butts handed to them on a platter is dismally disgusting.
