The nights are definitely getting cooler here, which helps with sleep.

Weird weather here. Warm-ish, rainy, humid. A few days ago we had the heat on in the theeder and it felt great. Last night they were beginning some staging and had to turn the AC on. I froze my ASS off. I'll welcome the return of those crisp autumn days.

BK - Do you mean you watched Kentucky Fried Movie, not Theater? But that the group itself was known as KF Theater before the movie?

I remember seeing the movie on Hollywood Blvd., and how some of the sketches, even then, seemed a little worn or overlong. But I'd enjoy seeing it now for my first time since it opened. I also tend to conflate it with another sketch movie called The Groove Tube, a sendup of television, which I should likewise see again for my first time since.

EDIT: It's the latter I definitely remember seeing on the Blvd., like at the Holly Cinema (?).

DR vixmom, Plan F is an AARP Medicare plan.

Since I don't remember signing up for it, I couldn't say how you would do it, but going to the AARP website and looking at their medical plans would be a good start, I think.  And it's likely you need to be Medicare-eligible to sign up for it.

Yes, I'm up.  Had me some dreams last night.  Nothing upsetting, but nothing memorable, either.

It's currently overcast and gray, but the temperature is a moderate 65 degrees.

I was on my best civilized behavior yesterday.  Oh, yes!

My cell phone has been getting calls the past week from Clover, SC.  I don't know anybody in Clover (or in "clover", for that matter).  I always saw the calls listed as having come in when I wasn't near my phone.

Yesterday, however, I saw a call from Cover, so I answered.  It was a lady doing a health and welfare survey for South Carolinians.  I decided to hear her out.

The questions were predictable, logical and my answers were anonymous as I was never asked for personal identifying info.

I did get a little irritated, however...but not at the lady.

I presume she was entering my answers on a laptop or whatever.   But, after I had answered my age (74), indicated I am unmarried and live alone, we entered a series of questions that seem to have ignored my previous answers:  How many people under the age of 18 live in my house?  Does my spouse need outside medical care?  Etc.  And DUH!  Wouldn't you think that previously answered questions that rather negated the need for other questions would have been skipped over?

She had already asked and been told I own my house, that I am financially sound, and that I don't owe anyone money before she began asking if I had trouble paying rent/mortgage or if I could not afford food or if my utilities had ever been terminated because of late or non-payment.

I have done many questionnaires in which a parenthetical was in place saying that if my answer to the previous question was "No", or "Yes", then please skip the net 10 questions.

It took about 20 minutes, but the lady was very nice, and I figured she probably gets a lot of hang-ups and ugliness, so I played nice and thanked her at the end.
