Page views were just under one million, slightly down from other moments, but they're fluid and will go up as people go back and read the topics they missed. That happens all the time.

As usually happens, I winterize my bed and the day after the temperatures go up. I tossed about from 8:30 to 11:00 as I tried to get sleep, only the bed was too warm. I finally fell asleepv somertime between 11 and midnight. Then I had a horrendous nightmare in which I was on one of the cews for a production of Camelot.

I had gone across the street to a bank to make a deposit and get soem cash for one of the actors. A totally incompetent clerk kept delaying things. I finally made the deposit but realized later I had forgotten the actor's request. As I left the bank, someone on the show started yelling at me that I was late and the musical had been running for fifteen minutes.

Even worse, the acor playing Arthur was sick, and the actor playing Lancelot was doing the role. I had to go on as Lancelot. So, against my protests, I was dressed in the hunky costume for Lancelot while I kept trying to get the glorious baritone of "C'est Moi" into my reedy voice.I couldn't remember the lyrics, I did not know how the fat hell I would get through the dialoguie or "If Ever I Would Leave You.

On top of that, instead of being a muscular 6-foot tall romantic lead, I was a 5'10" chubby mess in a hunky actor's costume. Just before the cue came for "C'est Moi" arrivewd I walked offstage yelling "Give them back their money! IU'm not doing this." And I woke.

I began orchestrating the song for the West end concert yesterday, and I will continue today.

Laura, we are supposed to have the same policy with retiring or departing ministers, but we merely made the retiring minister a pastor emeritus, so he could stay nearby.

John and Laura We have the same policy here.

Our former Pastor moved away for a couple of years but since retired and moved back to town.

He is now a “regular” member of the congregation.

Just spoke with his nurse in recovery.  They do not yet have a room for him, he has also tested positive for flu so they need to give him a single room.

They don’t allow visiting in the recovery area, but she will call me as soon as he is put in a room

Ironically, Bill having the flu actually turned out to be a good thing.

In the ER, instead of being in a crowded, noisy,  curtained area he was in a private room with a glass door that kept out outside sounds, with his own TV and control over his lighting preferences

I, too, am glad I didn't have DR Elmore's dream, though I did have a Camelot dream years ago that was quite enchanting.

Mine was only marginally better. I was piano-conducting a dress rehearsal where I couldn't see the singer (as was the case during parts of Carrie), and I was trying to get it in my head exactly what this 8- or 16-bar tag, or ride out, to a song consisted of, how many measures there were, who was singing what, what exactly the melodic line was, and how do we transition to it. The lead singer was the Arsenic and Old Lace Cary Grant, backed by a men's chorus. I eventually realized that the ensemble ending of the song wasn't originally a part of it, and wasn't called for, so things would be easier when those bars were lopped off. The irritating thing was the repetition of the dream, which I was more than happy to wake from.

Everything is finished now except for the basement trip. Then I'll work on my orchestration before it's time for our soaps. After that I need to sort the latest catfood arrival and put it away.

For me, yesterday felt like a Tuesday because of our Sunday evening rehearsal which felt like a Monday. Today now feels like a Monday because of last night being Halloween and feeling a little bit like a weekend night.

So here's the extent of our Halloween:

We never get trick-or-treaters, and this wasn't the year for a partay, so we had made absolutely no plans. And because of my shows, my own Halloween activities had been nil. So on a whim, Nathan brought home a pumpkin and he and Kristi carved it and set a candle inside. We set the pumpkin on the fireplace hearth, had a few other candles going, and we watched the 1970 Roger Corman film version of The Dunwich Horror which they had never seen. We were all fans of Dean Stockwell who died this past year, and it was interesting to see Sandra Dee, Sam Jaffe, and Ed Begley (Sr.) doing this thing. Like most Corman films, it had its moments, both good and schlocky, and it was exactly what we wanted.

We followed that up with a few random episodes of One Step Beyond from the one legitimate DVD of the first season released by CBS (every other release having been bootlegs of varying quality). It's such an oddly interesting show, and the episodes we picked happened to be among the better ones.

And that was that. And now it's November, which I can hardly believe. I'd rather not believe it, but apparently the evidence is all around me.
