I am home. Those LA freeways are something else. Scary, sometimes.

That they are.  I don't care for the ones up in Portland either.

Even though I saw it reported that that idiot Boebert had lost, she hasn't lost, not yet. Apparently, the "lost" thing came from idiots on Twitter being stupid and naturally that was picked up by others - I saw it on YouTube.

Those glitchy chats are frustrating.

They really accentuate the distance.  I often wonder if my mother-in-law realized how fortunate she was to have all 5 of her grandchildren within an hour’s drive.

I meant to mention this last night.  Fingers crossed.

Still hoping.

Yet I would be grateful to be as close to my children as you are.

Yes, I know, DR Jane.  I keep reminding myself of that.

I read a very thoughtful mini-essay on stereotypes and changing societal norms and how to engage (or not) with films or programs (or even cartoons) that society may have left behind. I don't know what the answers are, but it was interesting.

I meant to mention something about the NY Philharmonic program that we watched on Great Performances. The quick-cut editing of contemporary movies has invaded the world of classical music broadcasting now. Every shot was a camera in motion, and they kept changing shots every few seconds. It was dizzying and nauseating. I feel it cheapens serious music. But they must thing that you have to do that to remain relevant and with it.

Do you mean episodes 5 & 6 which should air tonight?

Episode 6 airs next week, I believe.

Any blooper lovers here?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yf3VayvAF_E

Lots of funny stuff here (better than the show they are from, IMO).  The one at about 8:01 had me crying with laughter.

The magic show was wonderful. And I don’t want to know how they did any of it.
