I would find Brendan Fraser appealing in any role.

I agree completely. He's adorable in just about everything I've seen, and all the way to hunkalicious in things like THE MUMMY and GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE.

One of my # 1 hoped for films to someday come out on DVD is finally coming out on DVD! The 1955 version of WE'RE NO ANGELS starring Humphrey Bogart, Aldo Ray, and Peter Ustinov, with Gloria Talbott! Woohoo!

Release date is 9/27/05

This is great news. I've only seen bits and pieces of this film, and having done the stage version of it (MY THREE ANGELS), I'm eager to see how it was changed for the movies.

Continued enjoying X2 this evening. Such an involving fantasy story, and the sound is remarkably involving.

I understand that after the third X-MEN movie, Hugh Jackman's Wolverine character is spinning off into his own series of films.

We're expected to get the back end of Hurricane Cindy tonight and tomorrow and then Hurricane Dennis is also a very real threat to us, too. Flood warnings have been issued, but so far the bad weather hasn't arrived. I suspect I'll be awakened in the night once it reaches us.

Thanks again all, for the kind thoughts.

Brendan Fraser has that old-school charisma where he makes bad movies—and he has been in his share—bearable with his charm.

I wonder why Disney keeps postpponing DR. SYN ALIAS THE SCARECROW. It's been announced twice and then the shipping date arrives and it vanishes from the list. I have two dear friends who are very anxious to have it.

Doggone it! It wasn't June Havoc that I always got mixed up with June Haver...it was June Vincent that I always got mixed up with June Haver and June Havoc!

That's understandable, DR MB.  I often mixed June Haver up with June Duck (pictured on left).

DR Jason, I have the DREAMGIRLS number from its Tony broadcast, but I can't help you with A CHORUS LINE or the other (earlier) one you requested. And I really want "Nobody's Perfect" from I DO! I DO! so if your friend makes that first broadcast available, perhaps you could dupe me a copy. (Funny that they put Barbara Harris' THE APPLE TREE song on the first BROADWAY'S LOST TREASURES rather than the Mary Martin-Robert Preston number. I'd think there would be much more demand to see it, but maybe there is a rights problem.)

Rodzinski: Yes, I'm an oldie but a goodie. A blast from the past. The prodigal son returned to his home. It's nice to meet you! And congrats on the job!!

Tonight has been thoroughly craptastic. I got 'in trouble' at work for something that no one ever told me not to do. I made this mistake back in December and they just discovered it today. And what baffles me is, my boss was still checking all of my work in December before anything was mailed out, but he somehow seems to have forgotten that he is partially to blame for letting it go out to begin with. Funny how that happens. And I do so love getting scolding emails from him, telling me that I should "take greater care" because he's too chickens**t to just come to my desk and tell me to my face.

I will have completed my 1-year obligation to them on July 26. I have plans for the fall. Oh yes, I have big plans.

When I finally got home from my crappy day at work, I was looking forward to a quiet evening in front of the telly watching a little Wonder Woman and a touch of Golden Girls. When I got home, however, the one roommate who is NEVER home was, of course, home and planted firmly on the sofa with the A/C cranked down to sub-zero temperatures and she was not moving. So I've spent the evening in my bedroom, which is quite literally 20 degrees warmer than the living room, playing a game on my computer and cursing my roommate's name. And her boyfriend's, too, since he showed up around 6:30 and just left a few minutes ago.

MTI is killing my soul.

I'm trying to keep an open mind about ALTAR BOYZ. I have a friend who is/was a standby in the show. I feel like I need to go just to support him. We got our tickets through TDF, so I can't complain too much, even if I hate it.

Welcom back, Jason! I can definitely relate to the job stuff, so here's to your survival until the Fall.

MattH, I would prefer the Barbara Harris number, but I'm in love with the woman.

And one for Mahler!

I've gone through 3 quarts of Cherry Kool-Aid to try to calm myself. All it's done is give me a headache.

Rod: is your new job in NYC? My brain isn't going at full-speed tonight...am I correct in inferring that you've taken a position with Playbill?

Do you really want to hurt me?

Actually, come to think of it, those two act opposite each other in the fine film HEAD OVER HEELS aka CHILLY SCENES OF WINTER which is one of my favorites.

There is an actress I often confuse with Mary Beth Hurt, but I forget her name at the moment.

Good Evening!

Let's see... Rehearsal started at 11:00am... And it's now about 15 past midnight, and I'm still in the theatre building...

-You do the math.

Oh, and I have to be back at 9:30am to rehearse our new cast member.

-Again, you do the math - I'm too scared too at this point, so...

DR MattH - I think you should just go with your "instincts", and put "Lara Croft" back on the shelf.  For good.  I'm pretty sure there are better movies deserving of your viewing time - no matter how spectacular the productions values are.
