I had coffee this morning with a friend. The coffee shop owner was very low on coins. I brought in my change jar and made her very happy by restocking her cash register. I have been able to do this a few times by keeping a change jar in the car.

I have a gallon jar at home where I put my change.  The last time I filled it up and cashed it in at my credit union (no fees if deposited), it had over $440 in it!

That is thoughtful of you.  On our trip I made a store owner happy when I paid with lots of dollar bills as the sign requested.  I was happy to get rid of the singles.

I just took a pain pill. It doesn’t really hurt. It’s more numb and uncomfortable.

I have a gallon jar at home where I put my change.  The last time I filled it up and cashed it in at my credit union (no fees if deposited), it had over $440 in it!

The last time I faced sorting the change in the change jar I ended up donating the entire cost of the contents to a charity instead of paying a fee to have the bank sort it. I don't recall what the charity was but it was something good.

I had been saving change in that jar since I was a child living with my parents.  The jar had once been filled with my mother's hard English candies.

Letting go of my mother's jar was hard.  The memory of doing so has made me a bit sad.

It was one less item to move with, and one more item on the long list of things I parted with.
