My quandary was my supply of pecan halves.  My sister brought me a pound and a half from Georgia last spring and I froze them for holiday baking.  If I’d made a full batch of these cookies I might not have enough for the pecan pie I was asked to make for Christmas dinner.

I resolved my kitchen quandary by deciding to make only a half batch of pecan snowball cookies.

How many people will be eating these?   

Just the 2 of us and they’re not Richard’s favorites.  I’ll take a few to his brother’s house on Sunday.  My half batch yielded 20, which is plenty.

That sounds like more than enough.

I personally prefer my Mexican wedding cakes, which I believe are the same as your cookies,  WITHOUT pecans.  I was thinking if there were more people, which there aren't, you could make half a batch without pecans.

Word is KARAOKE since the band isn't coming - so there are a few of my "singing" relatives I hope decide to forego the event.

I know it is important you get there.  Vibes Austin's car starts again when it is time to leave for the party.  Is your battery dead then or will you try your car again later?  It is probably best to take the ride.

Yesterday I was telling Keith about the book I am reading, "The Great Bridge" about the building of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Keith said I had read & told him about this already and about the family that built it.  When he mentioned the family my response was "Are you sure you haven't read it".  He insists he hasn't and I don't remember reading it.

I forgot that Keith purchased, using his Nook aap, THE GREAT BRIDGE by David McCullough which I will read one of these days.  My Nook library shows 45 books, all of which I've read or am reading.

After all these years I truly have forgotten that I read it, or I never got around to it.

David McCullough is such a good writer I could re-read it.  At over 600 pages do I really want to.
