Looks like he's putting the new replacement part in the shower, and then he'll put the bathtub part back where it came from.

He is a good handyman.

I am of course hoping the dreaded call does not come in the next few days.....about someone who attended the party testing positive.

No covid vibes!

DR JRand, thank you for sharing the photos from last night’s party.  I’m so glad it went so well.

I don't know if Bruce will remember well enough to have an opinion, and Keith & my brother never see it....yet over the years I have often had people say I remind them of someone.  Once prompted they would name my sister.

Or better yet, sorry, I thought you were whoziz. Whatever happened to her?

;D

On a plan flying home from LA to Ashland, as we were boarding a woman started to ask me that, stopped and said no you would be older.  Sure enough at first she thought I was my sister, and a neighbor of hers from years before.

At halftime I’ll make tomorrow’s pecan pie and after dinner I’ll assemble a Christmas morning breakfast casserole.  Then I’m going to quit cooking for a while.

There is more to cook  :o

DR Jrand, Bryan drove to his brother in-law's yesterday then said they needed to jump start the battery in order to drive home.  It is good you got a ride yesterday.

Not for me, DR Jane.  We’re invited to Richard’s brother’s house for dinner tomorrow and the pecan pie is my only responsibility.

DR Ron did any of your old Christmas posts complain about it being this cold?

Not at all.  This is surprising to me because one year the temperature never went above 20.  Looking back, it was a Christmas when I didn't post much because I was sick most of the time.

It will be very low key - all “orphan” grandparents whose families live in other states.

Being sick was likely less fun than the cold temps.  It does show then that these temps are not unusual which I find interesting.

I was hoping for a Chanukah invite but that didn't happen due to the flu.

Instead, I got out the folding chairs and got all of them set up in various locations.

I then set about cleaning what needed cleaning and bringing a few things that were cluttering up the jernt to the garage.

Listening to an album I had when I was a teen and that I absolutely was obsessed with - it came out in 1963 on RCA - Our Man in Hollywood - with Henry Mancini doing movie themes, including some of his own. Incredible stereo sound especially on CD. Some of the best musicians of that era - the cream of the crop. What fun.

Jane, I saw very little of you in your sister, frankly. What I saw in you was something completely unique - no one like you.
